Steel Plate Sound Effects

Steel Plate sound effects with a cold twist. Sheet metal, steel furniture, trays and pots meet blocks and granules of dry ice, and some props were heated with a torch first to liven up the reaction. Metal impacts too. It all comes from a bigger collection of metal against ice.

Dry Ice against steel squeals, because the gas coming off it keeps pushing the metal away. Heat the metal first and it gets livelier. Odd, useful stuff. The session finished with the leftover ice dumped into a Bathtub of warm water, bubbling away. Pitched down, the squeals suit creaking hulls and machines under strain, and left alone they work for sci-fi doors and alien tech.
