SILENCER sound effects for the quiet shots that aren't really quiet. No cartoon phut. Suppressed pistols and rifles, some with the surroundings left in, plus the handling: a silencer being screwed on, magazine changes, slides racking and bolts working. Stealth games and spy films lean on these hard.

What does a silencer really sound like? Louder than most films suggest. A Suppressor takes the edge off the muzzle blast, but you still hear a sharp report and the mechanism cycling, and with normal ammunition the bullet cracks as it breaks the sound barrier. Subsonic rounds help. They stay below the speed of sound, so that crack goes, and some Pistol rounds are subsonic already. The libraries here have real suppressed firing, recorded raw and cleaned, alongside designed shots made for games. The handling is covered too, from fitting the silencer to scope adjustments. Stealth games and spy thrillers use these a lot.
