Scribble Sound Effects

Scribble sound effects, scratchy and close. Pencils and fountain pens dragging across paper, from neat handwriting to frantic scrawls. Chalk on a blackboard. Paper crumpled and torn. Tiny sounds that make a classroom or a detective's notebook feel real. Recorded tight, so every scratch of the nib comes through.

A scribble depends on what's doing the writing and what it's writing on. A Pencil is dry and grainy, a felt Marker squeaks, and a fountain pen has a fine, wet scratch all of its own. The recordings here cover those at different speeds and pressures, on several kinds of paper, so a slow signature and a panicked note sound properly different. Paper handling fills in the gaps: page turns, crumples, tears. Animators sync them to drawing on screen, games use them for puzzle notes and UI, and film editors reach for them every time someone signs a contract.
