Recorded in binaural stereo, this collection features authentic construction sound effects, including drilling, hammering, and worker conversations, captured from a neighboring apartment renovation.

Polishing sound effects, more workshop than shoe shine. Sanding is the main event here: abrasive strokes on wood, close and isolated or as part of a full job from start to finish. Around it, a renovation in the flat next door, with drilling and chatter coming through the walls. Gritty and repetitive. Exactly what a workshop scene wants.
Polishing and sanding share a sound: a dry rasp that speeds up or slows down with the hand. The isolated strokes are easy to sync to a Carpenter on screen. The renovation sets were recorded from a neighbouring Apartment, so the drilling comes muffled through the walls. Handy when the builders never seem to leave.
