Japan Sound Effects

Japan sound effects recorded on the ground, from busy city streets to temple gardens. Pachinko parlours, ramen shops, crossings and traffic sit next to train and metro interiors and a fish market. Busy, then very still. Suburban streets, frogs and crickets fill the calmer side, and anime libraries cover the other Japan, the drawn one.

Pachinko is about as Japanese as a sound gets, and the parlour recordings put a scene there in seconds. Ramen shops, crossings and traffic do the rest, along with rides inside trains and the metro, and there's more underground in Subway. Temple gardens and suburban streets give the quieter side. Wider regional sets add markets, religious calls and transport, with Japan alongside its neighbours. On the animated side, the Anime libraries bring vocals and stylised effects for a show that never needs a microphone outdoors.
