Heater Sound Effects

Heater sound effects for the hum that keeps a room warm. Heaters and ventilation humming away in empty school halls over the winter break, a baseboard heater rattled and hit as junk, home devices, and room tones from kitchens, laundries and living rooms. Quiet stuff. Older cars bring the heater inside the cabin as well.

A heater is mostly a room tone with a job. The school recordings show it best, heaters and ventilation running in halls with nobody in them, which is what an empty building at night needs underneath it. Kitchens and laundries come with their own hum, some with distant voices or rain outside, for a home with people in it. The odd one out is the baseboard heater, rattled and hit with other Junk for metallic knocks. Small rooms and big ones get their own tones as well, so the air can match the size of the space.
