Gulp Sound Effects

Gulp sound effects for that moment a character spots trouble and swallows hard. Cartoon gulps with a comic lump going down. Real swallows, gasps, hiccups and tongue clicks from close-miked mouths. Very wet. Pouring and glugging liquid for when someone's actually thirsty. Short ones suit a quick reaction, and the longer ones give you the full comic pause.

The cartoon gulps here are exaggerated and a bit wet, the nervous swallow just before something goes wrong. Animators use them for scared reactions and comic pauses, sometimes with a Boing close behind. The live action side is real mouths: swallows, gasps, hiccups, tongue clicks and the odd burp. All recorded close. Editors and game developers use the real swallows to make a character come across as nervous without a word of dialogue, and Mouth has plenty more of that close-up work. There are pouring and glugging liquids too, for anyone actually drinking.
