Gas Sound Effects

Gas sound effects in most of its forms. Lighters flick and torches ignite, with the gas flowing in between. An industrial boiler room runs on it, recorded with contact mics as well as stereo ones. Then gas as in petrol, the American way, with sports cars recorded onboard and outside and a little scooter too. And yes, the other kind of gas is here as well.

A lighter is a small scene of its own: the gas flowing and then the Flame taking hold. The lighter and torch recordings give you both pieces, which suits a close-up on a cigarette being lit or a blowtorch getting going. The boiler room covers an industrial plant and a domestic boiler too, with pumps and sensors at work and contact mics on what's moving through the pipes. The cars are gas in the American sense, petrol engines recorded at a range of speeds and positions, from onboard to passing outside.
