Foley Sound Effects

Foley sound effects for the small stuff that makes a scene feel real. Footsteps on just about every surface you can think of. Cloth and leather moving, props picked up and set down, keys jiggling in a pocket, gear rattling on a belt. Punches and body falls for fights. Some of it was recorded on proper foley stages and in pits, some out in the world.

Good foley is the glue. The scrape of a holster, a jacket rustling as someone turns too quickly. Take it away and the characters sound like they're floating. The libraries here cover a lot of ground, from footstep sets across wood, gravel, carpet, metal and leaves to cloth passes and props of every kind. Vehicle foley turns up too, down to a motorbike Side Stand flicked out, and there's more machinery in Mechanical. Film and game teams use it to fill gaps in production sound or build a scene from silence, and it's all royalty-free for commercial work. Not glamorous. Hard to do without.
