Fold Sound Effects

Fold sound effects, mostly paper. A sheet creased down the middle, a letter folded into an envelope, newspapers wrestled back into shape and cardboard boxes flattened. Very crisp. Then the other folds: clothes being put away, or folding bikes and scooters snapping shut before a train ride. It's quiet work, and close mics pick up every crease.

A paper fold is a soft slide followed by a crisp crease, and the crease is what sells it. It's subtle. Thick card gives a dull crunch while thin paper gives a sharp, bright one, so the paper libraries cover both, along with tearing and Crumple for when the letter gets screwed up. Folding bikes and a Kick Scooter are a different job, with a latch and a solid clack as the frame locks. Office scenes and close ups of letters need them most.
