Cathedral Sound Effects

Cathedral sound effects from city centres, where the cathedral is part of the backdrop. Church bells ring out over the streets from morning to evening, footsteps and traffic pass by, and people fill the squares and markets. Some of it is recorded in ambisonics. Then a stranger use. Horror stingers come with a cathedral style reverb on them, next to plain and vintage radio versions.

A cathedral scene rarely needs the building itself to make much noise. It needs the Square. Bells, footsteps, voices and traffic set the location before the camera tilts up to the towers. The city collections cover that across a lot of cities and times of day, and the ambisonic ones suit VR and games where the player can turn round. Interiors and exteriors full of people fill the gaps, down to a Pedestrian street off the main square. The stingers are the odd ones out, and with that cathedral reverb they suit a horror game that ends up in a church.
