Camera Shutter Sound Effects

Camera Shutter sound effects from real cameras, old and new. Click. The heavy slap of a film SLR's mirror, the light tick of a rangefinder, the film advance wound on between frames and the fake shutter click a phone plays to keep you honest. There are drones in here too, whose cameras have a shutter of their own. Every camera has its own voice, and these were recorded close enough to hear it.

A shutter sound carries a lot of information. A big mechanical clack says press photographer, while a soft digital tick says someone sneaking a photo they shouldn't. The camera libraries record each body at different shutter speeds, which matters because a slow shutter opens and waits before it closes, while a fast one is a single sharp snap. Lenses too. The drone libraries add the Quadcopter itself, and Button Click recordings cover the press before the picture. Spy films and fashion shoots lean on them.
