Battery Sound Effects

Battery sound effects for the small stuff that powers everything. Batteries handled and pushed into chargers, plus the electromagnetic hum of them charging, picked up with coils. Some get dropped and rolled across different surfaces too. Then the gadgets they live in, from cassette players to a good few drones.

The dedicated battery recordings start with the foley: handling, charger insertions, drops on different surfaces and rolls. Then they go further, with electromagnetic recordings of batteries charging, a hum that can't be heard in the room and suits sci-fi power cells nicely. Around those sit the devices. Cassette players with their compartments and buttons, cameras, a medical thermometer with its beeps and button presses, and drones, with more of those in Quadcopter. A battery clicking into a torch or a remote is the kind of small detail that sells a prop, and it makes a good pickup sound in a game too.
