Bow Sound Effects

Bow sound effects for archery first and foremost. Arrows drawn and loosed, string movement, handling, flights past and impacts into all sorts of surfaces, with crossbows alongside. Some of it is real recorded bows, some designed for games, and there's an anime style too. The other sort of bow turns up here and there, the kind drawn across strings.

An arrow shot is really a run of small sounds: the nock, the draw, the release, the flight and the hit. The bow libraries here split those out, recorded from different positions with several bows and arrow types, so a lone archer and a volley in a battle can both be built from the same kit. Crossbow gets the same treatment. For fantasy and RPG work, the medieval bundles put bows next to the Sword, siege engines and castles, while the anime pack keeps everything stylised. The bowed side is a small corner, strings and odd objects worked into designed textures, and it belongs nowhere near a battlefield.
