Arrival Sound Effects

Arrival sound effects, mostly trains pulling into stations. Steam engines hissing to a stop, underground trains screeching in, trams rattling up to the platform, with doors, announcements and passengers all around. Cars arrive too, rolling up and stopping, from supercars to little electric runabouts. It's the sound of something getting somewhere. Brakes, mostly.

A train arrival has a shape: the rumble growing in the distance, the squeal of the brakes, a hiss or a clunk as it stops, then the doors. Recording it from the platform gets that whole build in a single take. The station around it matters as much as the train, which is why so many of these come with platform crowds and announcements. Cars and bikes pulling up cover the rest, with an Exhaust burble dropping to idle. Pair any arrival with its Departure and a character can get in and out of a scene.
