Current Soundscape is a library of electromagnetic field recordings captured from real, operating electrical systems, focused on authentic electric textures and environments.
The collection features a wide range of electromagnetic sounds recorded directly from active shipboard equipment, including power transformers, power supplies, distribution panels and related systems. While the core of the library is built around buzz, hum, and noise-based foundations, the recordings themselves cover a broad spectrum — from stable backgrounds to complex, dynamically evolving and layered textures.
These sounds reflect natural changes in electrical load, operating modes, and interactions between systems, giving the material a living, organic character rather than a static or artificial feel.
All recordings were made in real working conditions, with no synthesis or artificial sound generation. The material has been carefully selected and prepared with a focus on signal clarity, textural character, and practical usability for sound design and post-production.
This library is well suited for:
– industrial and technological atmospheres
– sci-fi and electro-mechanical sound design
– drones, backgrounds, and energy textures
– film, games, trailers, and multimedia installations
All sounds are organized according to the UCS standard and feature clean, consistent metadata. The library is fully Soundminer compatible, ensuring fast browsing and efficient workflow integration.
