Household Doors HD contains a variety of residential doors, drawers and cabinets standard in a typical house. This includes heavier entryway doors, bedroom and closet doors, desks, dressers, nightstands, kitchen and bathroom cupboards and drawers, China Cabinet, French doors, bifold doors, and even toilet seat, microwave, freezer, and dishwasher doors. Included in this collection are squeaky hinges and frames, metal hardware sounds, locks and deadbolts, and an electronic deadbolt with pretty sweet button and servo sounds. I provide you with a wide variety of sounds of each object, like hard, soft, fast and slow opens and closes.
These recordings include the natural space in which they typically reside – for example, the door coming in from the garage has some echo, but a bedroom closet is nearly 100% dry. These sounds are ready to be dropped into your session, as they are pristinely recorded, edited, noise reduced, mastered, and grouped together with multiple iterations of a door type in one single audio file. Finally, the tracks were laced with Soundminer metadata for quick and easy searches.

THE RECORDING & EDITING:
This library was recorded at 96k/24 bit, using my very trusty and handy Sony PCM D100 in XY configuration. The D100 was equipped with a Rycote shockmount, and, more often than not, a pistol grip for easy and flexible mic placement. Software used in the editing includes Pro Tools HD and iZotope Rx.
