Description

Central American Jungle Bioma Vol. I
Acoustic Ecology of the Neotropical Canopy
The Costa Rican rainforest doesn’t have a background. It has layers — insect strata, bird call corridors, canopy wind patterns, rain that arrives from a direction. Jungle Bioma Vol. I captures all of it in full 360-degree ambisonic space, recorded across three ecologically distinct locations in Costa Rica.
This is not a loop pack. It is a high-fidelity spatial document of one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on Earth, built for productions where authenticity is non-negotiable.
Field Locations
Tirimbina Rainforest Reserve — Deep interior rainforest with dense, complex biological layering. Howler monkeys, poison dart frog calls, and cascading insect beds recorded far from any road or settlement.
Cahuita National Park — Caribbean coastal jungle where the canopy transitions to shoreline. A uniquely hybrid soundscape: dense bird activity overhead, wave rhythm at the edge, and the particular humidity of the Caribbean coast in every recording.
Garabito, Pacific Slope — Transitional dry-to-humid forest on the Pacific side of Costa Rica, home to species assemblages found nowhere else in the library. Distinct from the Atlantic locations in tone, texture, and biological character.
