Wipe Sound Effects

Wipe sound effects for both kinds of wipe. On screen it's the transition, with wipes, cuts and ramps made for edit points, plus interface wipes for apps and menus. Off screen it's the real thing: cloth and sponges on surfaces, a wet chamois, the wipe-downs in a tattoo parlour and a scratch card rubbed away. Small sounds, mostly.

A transition wipe works best cut right to the frame, so the ones here are built for edit points, with ramps and cuts to match. For broadcast, Radio Imaging parts sit alongside them. The physical wipes are foley, and they sell a lot of small business on screen: a bar wiped down, a window cleaned, a Sponge run across a counter. There's wet chamois work too. The tattoo parlour wraps its wipes in glove snaps, metal trays and the buzz of the needle, all from a working studio, which suits a scene set there.
