Tiger Sound Effects

Tiger sound effects with real weight behind them. Deep growls and heavy chuffs from a Bengal tiger, captured cleanly, and a young tiger working up to some properly aggressive growling. Big cat, big voice. Zoo recordings add more tigers among other species, and there's a vintage tractor that happens to share the name, recorded onboard and from outside.

A chuff is a tiger's friendly greeting, short puffs of air through the nose, so it's the one to reach for when the cat isn't about to attack. Growls sit at the other end. Big cat voices make good raw material for creature design, and some of these were captured with ultrasonic detail, which leaves room to pitch them down hard without losing texture. The zoo recordings put tigers among other species from primates to parrots, with more in Lion for the rest of the big cats. And the tractor is a proper old machine, with revs and pass-bys for a farm scene rather than a jungle.
