Rooster Sound Effects

Rooster sound effects come from the alarm clock that never needed batteries. A proper crow at dawn, close up in the farmyard or far off across the fields, along with hens clucking nearby. Proper farm noise. Plenty of them turn up inside village and countryside ambiences recorded around the world, so the crow arrives with the right birds and insects already around it.

A rooster crow says morning in the countryside faster than anything else. The catch is that roosters don't stick to dawn. They crow all day. A Village ambience recorded at noon can still have a few in it. Where local colour matters, the tropical recordings put roosters among jungle birds and the odd Frog, which sounds nothing like a farm in the Midwest. The close farm recordings give you a clean crow on its own, handy for comedy or a quick cut to the barn.
