Panel Sound Effects

Panel sound effects in wood and metal. Loose metal panels rattling and buzzing as if bolted to a ferry or a big machine, and wooden panels snapped and broken. Stones ping off the body panels of a car. Lots of clatter. A wooden fence panel gets a proper beating too, and plywood and hardwood sheets bend and give way.

Panels are flat and wide, so they flap and rattle in ways a solid block never does. The loose metal is all vibration and clatter, the kind of thing that sits under a cargo hold or a machine room and keeps a scene uneasy. For a ship's Wheelhouse that rattle does a lot of quiet work. The wood side is louder. Plywood and hardwood breaking and bending, plus chops and crowbar pulls, and a fence panel beaten to bits for anything that needs to Splinter. Then the car: gravel and stone hits on the doors, roof, rims and wheel wells, recorded inside and out for a rough road or a chase down a dirt track. All of it is royalty-free for film and game work.
