Faucet Sound Effects

Faucet sound effects for kitchens and bathrooms, or taps, if you're on the British side of the Atlantic. Water running into sinks, with showers and drains close by. Proper household stuff. Much of it sits inside wider home foley sets, so the fridge and the light switch can come from the same recordings as the tap.

A faucet on screen is usually a quick beat, a hand on the handle and water running, and the room around it matters as much. The bathroom recordings cover the Sink, showers, toilets and appliances, with drains and more showers in the wider water sets. In the kitchen, the faucet sits with fridges, ovens, glass jars and drawers. Distance matters too. Some of the water was recorded with close and distant mics at once, and the close take suits a hand under the tap while the distant take suits the next room along.
