Ding Sound Effects

Ding sound effects, from a phone notification to a bell on a cow. Interface chimes and alerts for apps and menus, and game pickups and level ups for when the player gets it right. Then the real metal. Cowbells and sheep bells, some of them rusty, dinging and ringing up close or from further back.

A ding is the sound of something being right. In an interface it's the cue that a message arrived or a task finished, and it works best bright and short so it never grates. The game sounds lean more cheerful, a Reward chime for a pickup or an unlock, while an Error needs the opposite shape, lower and flatter, so they never get mixed up. Some of the cowbells have Rust on them, which gives them a character of their own. They belong on a farm rather than a phone, ringing fast or slow at different distances.
