Pilots say a jet goes to burner when the afterburner lights, and the star here is a supersonic trainer jet, idling on the ground and tearing past overhead. Around it sit wide field recording collections full of oddities, from machinery and airboats to buzzing insects. Strange company. Handy for flight scenes and anything else that needs thrust.
The jet recordings are all exterior, heard the way a camera on the ground would hear them, from the idle whine to a whole range of flybys. Properly loud. The lit-up roar has its own home in Afterburner. The general collections add insects like the Hornet and plenty of machinery.
