An assault needs the shots and somebody shouting orders over them. The Bullet Impact sets cover flesh, concrete, glass, metal, wood, mud and snow, so every round lands on the right thing, and the explosions finish the job. In modern Warfare scenes, radio versions of the commands sound like they're coming from across the map. The dry takes work for a squadmate right beside you, shouting over the gunfire.
