Hurricane Barry made landfall in Louisiana Saturday afternoon as a category 1, moving at a pace of around 4mph (6.4kph) bringing massive flooding in low-lying and intracoastal areas from storm surge even a day before landfall.
Hear what it sounded like as it passed over Sleeping Valley Studios on the night it made landfall.
(trivia: if you listen closely in some of the recordings, you can hear sparking from a nearby power pole transformer)
All tracks are full 96k/24bit.
Disclaimer: I recorded when it was safe to.
I had to scrap much of the recordings as the wind gusts were upwards of 50mph (80.47kph) which distorted recordings, even with two windscreens.
A portion of funds will be used to help those affected by the storm.
