Overtake Sound Effects

Overtake sound effects for when something gets past. A racing kart screaming past on a lap, a race car on track with other cars passing and being passed in the cockpit mics, a hot hatch drifting, even a fishing boat overtaking on open water. Plus cars, trucks and motorbikes going by on a quiet country road.

An overtake is a handover. The engine behind you becomes the engine beside you, then fades out in front, and that swap is what sells it. The kart recordings include real overtakes and false starts on a Race Track, with that raw, high scream. In the race car the passes sit in the background of the cockpit channels, wind and all. For anything calmer, the roadside pass-bys of cars and trucks give you plain traffic going by. All royalty-free, and suited to racing games and chase scenes.
