Professional Foley artists, using Sennheiser MKH50 microphones, captured authentic sound effects on a dedicated stage for various film productions.

Operating Room sound effects from both sides of the doors. Surgical tools performed by professional foley artists on a stage, plus real hospital ambiences that include an operating room being prepped. Not many machines beep. The rest of the building comes too, from nurses' stations and the waiting room to the lobby and cafeteria.
That quiet is useful: with so few machines beeping, the Hospital ambiences fit any large institutional building as well as a ward. In the theatre itself, the surgical foley does the storytelling, the small metal handling that tells the audience surgery is under way. Kept low under the dialogue, it lets a tense scene breathe.
