High Hit Sound Effects

High Hit sound effects. The sharp top layer of a big movie punch. In a classic kung fu fight each hit is built from a high, a medium and a low layer plus a whoosh, and these come grouped that way, ready to stack. Change the balance and the hit gets harder or heavier.

Syncing lots of hits in a Kung Fu or Martial Arts fight is easy enough. Keeping them from sounding the same is harder, so these groups are cut to play in sequence, each with a few hits, a whoosh and the odd sweetener, all the same length. Slide the whoosh closer and the hit lands faster. A few are clipped on purpose for extra crunch in the mix.
