Chinatown Sound Effects

Chinatown sound effects from real streets and markets, busy and full of life. Never quiet. The crowd and the bustle run together, the way a market street sounds when it's working. Some of it comes in ambisonics, so the street can be turned around the listener. Other city crowds sit alongside, from stations to cafes.

A market street like this does a lot of storytelling before anyone speaks. When a character steps off it, cut to a Cafe or Subway Station crowd and the world stays joined up. Keep the street low under dialogue and it still reads as somewhere specific, and the ambisonic recordings can be decoded to anything from mono to surround, VR included.
