“Wilderness Americas : Geyser and Volcano” is a collection of sounds focus on geothermal phenomena of the central and north America.
We had recorded geysers in the Yellowstone National Park (USA) and two very actives volcanoes : the Fuego in Guatemala and the Masaya in Nicaragua.
To complete this sound library, we add to this naturals sounds elements, which are very efficient for sound design as sound material, more “designed sounds”
“Super volcano” eruption sounds, magma lake ebulition sounds, lava movment, and landslide Sound.
The “geysers” and “Masaya volcano” sounds (magma lake, lava movment) were recorded with the Telinga Parabola with a Sennheiser MKH 8040.The Telinga was used for his powerfull ability to focus on sound details at a respectable distance.
The explosions, eruptions of the Fuego volcano were recorded in surround with a Sennheiser DMS setup (MKH 8040-30) and also with the Telinga Parabola + MKH 8020.
-This sound bank contains 56 sound takes record in 24/96khZ and decline in 122 files.
Recordings include:
-17 takes from the Fuego volcano eruption/explosion (recorded at 3km from the crater)
-2 takes from the Masaya volcano with his lava lake (recorded at 800m from the crater)
-18 takes from the Geysers from Yellowstone National Park (recorded at 2-3m from geothermal phenomena)
-19 sound design files (Super volcano explosions, magma lake and landslides sounds)
