This high-quality library of ‘Ice – Tension, Creaking & Breaking’ contains 194 royalty-free tracks of premium easy-to-edit source material. From high-impact ice breaking, smashing and squeaking, to high-definition tensions creaks, both on ice and in water.

‘Ice – Tension, Creaking & Breaking’ was recorded using a Sennheiser Mkh416, an Aquarian Audio H2a XLR, a Røde NT4r and a Sounddevices 702 Recorder. – Contains 206 mono and stereo files at 96K, alongside a selection of 192K recordings, 680 MB wav. files. Delivered as a single Zip file download.

This library includes many ice impact sounds, tension cracks and breaks. While most of these sounds were recorded inside a dense pine forest (in a remote part of Sweden), a session was also made back in Denmark too. A great lake, which was completely frozen earlier in the year was beginning to break up into smaller pieces.

These impacts of ice on ice, and ice into ice water, were recorded with a Sennheiser Mkh 416 standing in land, capturing the splashes and more bright sounds, and more interestingly, an Aquarian Audio H2A XLR hydrophone, capturing the underwater sounds. The downloadable tracks are a mix of both.
