MULTI-USER / WORKSTATION LICENSE
All of the sound effects libraries on Sonniss are licensed, not sold to the Licensee. If you have more than one user who plans to use or has access to the sound effects you are licensing, it will require a multi-user license. This multi-user licensing system is modeled entirely after the software industry, where if you buy a piece of software for your entire company to use, you must obtain licenses to cover each user.
More Information About Multi-User Licensing
Purchasing a multi-user license from our vendors on Sonniss will allow you to use the sound effects libraries on more than one workstation and by multiple people on your production team. A multi-user license is more commonly known in the industry as a “network” or “site” license. When you purchase one or more of our sound effects libraries you are actually purchasing a license for a single user, this is the standard license associated with all sound libraries on Sonniss and everywhere else on the internet.
If you have more than one user who plans to use or has access to the sound effects you are licensing, it will require a multi-user license. Multi-user licensing is not at all complicated. Once you figure out how many users will be accessing the sound effects you would like to purchase, drop Timothy McHugh a message over at firstname.lastname@example.org and he will get everything sorted out for you.
Anyone who accesses and uses any or all the sound effects from a collection is considered a user. If you’ll be consistently working on projects in conjunction with other users you will need a multi-user license for your facility. Sonniss vendors require companies with multiple users and/or workstations to be properly licensed. This license fee is a one time purchase. There are no yearly fees, no captchas no gotchas. You get what you pay for.
